Our History
IMAGO Glass Inc. was established in 2002 as a small glass shower door company with only a few select clients. The work was simple to describe and hard to do well: measure a bathroom precisely, make the glass for that exact opening and install it so it looks like it was always there.
Over more than 21 years, the team grew and our installation skills sharpened, one project at a time. Today we are a glass company Chicago homes and businesses call for much more than shower doors: custom mirrors, gym and industrial mirrors, glass walls, glass shelves and glass table tops. Shower doors are still at the heart of what we do.
We know a bathroom is where you get ready for the day ahead and unwind when you come home, so we treat it with care. Every member of our team is trained to deliver quality glass work. After more than two decades as a glass company, Chicago homes and businesses have shown us just about every kind of glass project, so very little surprises us.
The Glass Company Chicago Homeowners Call When Stock Sizes Won’t Fit
Our customers tell the story better than we can. One homeowner could not find shower doors in the size his shower needed, so he asked us to make them. We custom-made the doors and installed them. Another client wanted to see the choices before committing, so we showed several types of glass in person, and the result was a shower they love. A third had glass shower doors installed in a master bathroom in under two hours.
Those three stories are the business in a nutshell: measure precisely, give you real options and get the installation done without dragging it out. It is how a small glass company, Chicago born in 2002, has worked for more than 21 years.
What Working With Us Looks Like
Every project, large or small, follows the same steps:
- A free onsite estimate. We come to your home or business, talk through what you want and show you glass options.
- Precise measurements. We measure the actual space rather than guessing from standard sizes.
- Custom-made glass. Your glass is made to fit, in the style, thickness and finish you chose.
- Professional installation. Our trained team installs it in your space.
Safety comes with the territory. Shower doors and enclosures are covered by the federal safety standard for architectural glazing materials, which is why the frameless doors we install are made from thick tempered glass that breaks into small, pebble-like pieces rather than sharp shards. Our frameless shower doors page explains the glass types in more detail.
Choosing a Glass Company Chicago Homeowners Can Trust
You do not need the most expensive glass to get a result you love. We offer affordable options alongside premium glass and hardware, and every one of them is measured, made and installed with the same care. At your estimate, you compare them side by side in your own space and pick what fits your budget.
If you are choosing a glass company, Chicago has plenty of them. Look for one that measures on site, makes the glass for your exact opening and installs it with its own skilled team. That is how we have worked since 2002, and it is why customers who could not find the right size anywhere else end up with glass that fits.
Homes and Businesses Across Chicagoland
As a residential and commercial glass company, Chicago homes and businesses are both part of our everyday work. At home, that means shower doors, bathroom mirrors, home gym mirrors, glass shelves and glass table tops. For businesses, it means glass walls and partitions for offices and conference rooms, gym mirrors for fitness studios and industrial mirrors for offices, bars and other commercial spaces. The full list is on our glass services page.
As a glass company, Chicago is home base, and our service area reaches nearby suburbs including Evanston, Mount Prospect, Norridge, Wood Dale and Oak Park.
Help That Lasts Beyond Install Day
Glass is something you live with for years, so our work does not stop once a door is hung. If a shower door starts to leak, drag or lose its seal, our shower door repair service may bring it back without replacing the glass. If the glass itself is damaged, we can make a new piece for the same opening.
We also answer the questions customers ask us in plain-language guides on our blog: how safe frameless glass shower doors are, what a bathtub glass door costs, which shower door is best, how to keep shower doors clear and how thick a glass table top should be. Straight answers like these are part of being a glass company Chicago homeowners can come back to for years.
